Unbelievable things you have in common with spiders! You can choose your attention.

Choose your attention, and eight leg it over to X’Tzu’s Zoo to discover the unbelievable thing you have in common with spiders!

You just woke to a bright new day. Dew has deposited itself like sparkling crystals.
Web of choices

Reality reflected from dew drops
Walking outside you stop but inches from a large web glistening with moisture, and here you see a spider. It seems to be making a sound. As your ear gets closer, you swear you hear a clicking, then a tone.

Finally the wind dies down and the spider’s clearly saying, ‘I don’t remember choosing to be on this web. I simply crawl for crawling sake. Even with eight legs, the funnel of ‘life’ remains a sticky false choice. With all these eyes, I still choose where I place my attention - so I’m really not stuck.’
We traverse a tangled web of choices.

We traverse a tangled web of choices. To the degree that the clever ego has ignored the higher-self, our individual state of being is due to the decisions we’ve made, whether we actively remember making them or not.

Placing our attention

Acceptance of your prior choices
Then the spider shakes its body to rattle the entire web, completing his thought, saying, ‘Whatever reason this yarn’s a spinnin’, I’m here, for now.’

You walk away, unstuck and free to choose your path.

There’s a lot of spider webs up ahead, that of thought, feeling and emotion.
Phoenix of possibility

You choose which ones to place your attention on as your feet move confidently forward.

Choosing to go toward or away from the light.

In this fable…

The spiders eyes represent our awareness of the myriad places where other wills have requested attention.

The spiders legs represent our interaction with all the things that construct experience.

A ‘funnel of life’ denotes the confined set of experiences.

The ‘sticky false choice’ is the conclusion most often come up with from a limited point of view.

The spider knows it’s not stuck on the metaphorical stickiness of its own web because it’s aware that it can choose where it places attention.

‘Yarn a spinnin’ is a statement that indicates the spider is aware that it’s navigating a story, one told by many wills, and observed by its own.

‘I’m here for now’ is a statement that illustrates its realization that it chose to come here for the experience, and that for every series and processions of things and events there’s a beginning and end. It knows this not through memory, but gnosis as it shakes its body and web in a full body awareness.
