Hangliding for Pearls - How Language is a Control System

Here, where language is a control mechanism, we step inside the bar for an allegory regarding programming, conditioning, and how language is used as a part of the control system. Break your programming... that which creates the confines of your thoughts and beliefs.

Language is used as a control mechanism. The very words you use prevent you from reaching certain conclusions.

Down in the bar, a few patrons are busy discussing how the big screen seems to be telling them what to think… after all, it’s not called ‘programming’ for nothing. And blasting on the radio by the IceCreamIgloo there’s chatter about the false choice flavors being served. In the Beer Gardens there’s a hoot’n and hollering debate about history books written by victors.

Still, such conversation is about as useful as eating yogurt with a fork. For the real manipulation has already taken place, hanging out in the language your brain uses to ‘think’, creating barriers to limit what can be ‘thought’ about, and searing branded beliefs into that cowhide noggin.

How much of this conversation is just the brain amusing itself that it might one day be free?
If you choose, you can bravely step off the precipice and leave your programming far below.

To leave your conditioned state brings transitory discomfort. Are you willing to fly down that path?

Sometimes… all we’re doing is hangliding for pearls.

Considerations

The incredible act of our experience is that 'we' have created a barrier of thought-forms that insist our reflection is greater than that which casts its reflection. Because we become attached to our 'movie', we have in some ways consented (until we don't) to the language the movie is scripted in. In this bar, implications of all 'things' that mutually arise are loaded within the way we communicate, write, spell (cast spells), and 'think' with.

Our language (l-ang-uage) is self-designed to inflame the ego, which colors our perception on our path back home... the words we use hold connotations and SMTS's (subconscious multi-term suggestions - see glossary) that create contradictions in others 'minds', AND in our most astute statements. The point here isn't to label this realization right or wrong, but simply ask ourselves to use metaphor in speaking the unspeakable, and allegory to infer space between thoughts.
